At the Palermo shipyard, each ship was cut in two, added an extra part from about 12 mtr. long and finally re-welded. This resulted in an increase of capacity and guests to welcome. This work, totally innovative for the marine market, was awarded to the Italian stakeholder Fincantieri and will give work to this dock until half 2016. Each inserted part needed insulation for A class fire divisions and new cabins. ROCKWOOL Technical Insulation was proudly selected to deliver both of these types of insulation by the installers that were awarded for this project.
